Several years ago I had my parents over for Easter dinner and I decided to put popovers on the menu. I'd never made them before and loved that the recipe looked so simple. It was. And the popovers were delicious. So now whenever I think of Easter, I tend to think of popovers.

Last weekend we made a trip to Chicago and Devin and I went to dinner at a restaurant that brought out baskets of cheesy rolls. They reminded me of popovers...soft and airy in the middle. I asked Dev if he'd like to help me make the popovers this year. His only requirement is that we make a cheesy version. This one looks like a great option.

How pretty is this cake? And Shutterbean is right...it does look like it could lift a mood on a grey day. Clouds or sunshine, I think I have to make this.

I love pizza.

My husband would say that I make it too often. In fact, recently he said something along the lines of, "Pizza again? We just had pizza."

Pfuff.

I'm not talking pepperoni, although we had some of that just this weekend courtesy of our local Jet's. (Not bad, really. If you can't make your own.) No, I prefer more intriguing toppings. Like the potato and goat cheese pizza we made at Christmas a few years ago. (We're kinda casual like that.)

So this one really caught my eye. Eggplant and caramelized onions. Now that sounds good.

Scott, I think I'm making it this weekend. Just be warned!
